...to your new home.
The girl is Mary, and the two giant morons are Lucas (left) and Aaron (right) xD
Mary was swept away from her own world by these giant creatures, who tell the last of humankind that they saved them from the end of Earth. Mary doesn't believe a word of it. But it doesn't matter what she thinks, because she can't even voice her own opinion. She lost her voice when she was taken into the giant's world, claiming herself as mute. Stuck in a giant store-like adoption center for the last few humans left, she is picked out by the incredibly egotistical and ignorant Lucas.
Lucas (unbeknownst to Mary) was part of the mission to retrieve the humans from their dying world, and actually took Mary himself. He specifically remembered her vivid, yellow sweatshirt, and knew she would be the one he should take home ("payment" for those that signed up for the mission could either receive currency or a human of their own). Ever since he heard about humankind, he wanted to have one for himself, and now he does.
Aaron is Lucas' older brother. He is much kinder, more gentle, and not as ignorant as Lucas. He sees Mary as just a very small person rather than a speechless pet, and does as much as he can to make her feel welcome. When Lucas gets a little too fresh with the poor girl, he steps in and challenges his younger brother... to which Lucas will always reply with "Don't even think about it, big bro. I found her. She's mine."
Mary hates that she has lost her voice. Not only does her tiny size show that she is completely at the mercy of Lucas, but she doesn't even get to tell him off. She doesn't get to defend herself with words. Rather, she tries to speak with her bright blue eyes, or a small pad of paper where she can write responses. She grew up in a large family where she refused to say anything, because no one would listen to her. But now that fate has decided to take her voice, she feels even smaller and more vulnerable in this new, giant world. As afraid as she is of her "owners" she finds something interesting about Lucas. She sees something in him that no one else does, and because of that they form a very unusual bond. Over time, Mary starts to prove to the big, dumb blonde that there is more to her than he realizes. She is so much more than just a pet.
There are actually two other characters not shown in this picture. The father William, and the grandfather Frank. Will feels great compassion and remorse towards Mary and her terrifying situation. On the other hand...Frank is a sarcastic bastard who enjoys scaring Mary (more in a teasing way, but how can she understand that with an enormous and scary GIANT?!?!) Eventually, the silent girl grabs at the hearts of all four giants, knowing that she must make the best of her new home.
Earth is gone. Her family is no where to be seen. And Mary has no other place to go.
With all of the courage she can muster, she accepts her fate among a new family that eventually grabs at her tiny heart, too. :3
LUCAS, AARON, WILLIAM, FRANK, AND MARY ALL BELONG TO ME
